CC-EYE offers a function of on-line tracking of slab defects such as cracks and central segregation based on transient condition. This evaluates crack probability and estimates the effect of soft reduction on central segregation by evaluating degree of correspondence between soft-reduction range and solidification completion location for each slab. Eventually, the basic framework for Advanced Off/On-line Computer Aided Quality Control System can be constructed.
CC-DESIGN
CC-DESIGN coupled with CC-MASTER solver was developed to design roll geometry of pass-line under which internal and surface cracks are prevented. Therefore, CC-DESIGN can be used to check and feasibility of roll geometry and to edit the geometry. By checking the feasibility of achievement of target productivity with certain product-mix without internal cracks and surface cracks, roll geometry or segment can be designed or modified accordingly.
CC-COOL N GAP
CC-COOL N GAP was developed to control secondary cooling water flow and roll gap dynamically for continuous casting based on predefined surface temperature profile. Dynamic secondary cooling and roll gap control is very useful for obtaining good qualities of strand consistently.
CC-COOL N GAP can be used for on-line control and off-line simulation of secondary cooling and roll gap.
Target surface temperature profiles included in CC-COOL N GAP are optimized for minimizing internal/surface crack of strand.
